Rachel Higgins and James Fotheringhame are both award winning Artists working from Court Leet Studio, based in Warwickshire, near Stratford-Upon-Avon.
Rachel makes animal sculptures in metal, using wire and perforated sheet, some of which are automata.
James is known for his wildlife and still life paintings in watercolour, acrylics and oils. He runs watercolour classes from the studio. Along side his artwork, a passion for horticulture has evolved into a successful career of garden and planting design, and consultancy.
Both artists give talks, demonstrations, and lead workshops at Art societies and various groups.
They met at The Nottingham Trent University in the early 90’s studying for a Fine Art degree.
The wildlife around them is an influence on their work, and their 2 sons have opened new areas of creative study at wildlife parks, beach combing, aquariums and rock pools.
